Shaina is a Registered Massage Therapist with over 12 years of experience, offering a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to care. She enjoys working with people who are open to slowing down and mindfully connecting with their body. Shaina uses a combination of oil and non-oil based techniques including: Swedish relaxation, myofascial release, craniosacral and visceral approaches. Shaina does not provide deep tissue treatments. Her approach is gentle to moderate in pressure, and uses guided breathing and attention to work collaboratively to melt tension. She has trained extensively in somatic approaches to healing trauma, which informs her massage practice in bringing more skill to attunement, consent, and communication. Shaina enjoys working with a diverse client population, including children, prenatal and postnatal parents, and individuals seeking support with mental health concerns such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression. She also has experience supporting people with chronic pain conditions, including fibromyalgia, headaches and migraines, back and shoulder pain, ME/CFS, Long COVID, digestive conditions, and abdominal or pelvic pain.
